Why are our products handmade?

Cap and Queen's mission is to create high quality products, while promoting love and kindness in our everyday lives.  Through your support and our company's mission we are together able to provide amazing smelling products that are safely made for you while creating additional job opportunities for women who are looking to create a better life for themselves after escaping domestic violence situations.  We are strictly opposed to using high volume manufacturing facilities for our production, with an emphasis on high quality products. It is important to us to give back to our community, so we have partnered with an incredible facility to hand produce all of our products.  Every purchase you make, you can rest assured knowing that they were made with extra love and care while providing an opportunity for women to create better tomorrows.

 

What ingredients do you use in your products? 

We have thoughtfully selected every ingredient for our product line to perform the exact function they need to while eliminating many of the harmful ingredients that are required for mass-produced products and shelf stabilization found in traditional retail products.  We as consumers don't have to rely on toxic ingredients like phthalates, paraffins, parabens, sls, sles or other harmful substances to maintain a clean and fresh-smelling home. In fact, we know that there are alternative ways to achieve cleanliness and amazing scents not found in the mass produced, commercially made products. How long do products last for? 

All products have an approximate shelf life of 2 years. 

 

Are products tested on animals? 

Our products are never tested on animals. 

 

Is our packaging recyclable? 

Yes! Our plastic bottles are made from PET plastic and are 100% recyclable plastic.   Our candle vessels are made from a high-quality glass and make amazing storage vessels after you've burned through them should you wish to keep them.  Our lids are also made from sustainably sourced wood and are able to double as coasters after you are done using them with your new candles!  

 

How long do candles burn for? 

Our candles have an approximate burn rate of 48 to 60 hours.  Candles should be burnt for 2-3 hours minimum each use and never exceed 4 hours.  It is important that you allow the candle to reach a full melt across the vessel before extinguishing to prevent "tunneling" into your candle wax and provide optimum performance.

 

My candle flame is low?

Wooden wick candles behave much differently than their cotton wick counterparts.  The flame height may vary and even at times appear to self extinguish.  This is a normal characteristic of wooden wicks.   The first burn is critical to ensure you allow the candle to reach full melt across the vessel.  Wooden wicks may develop a black ash at the top of the wick after a use or two which should be trimmed off before lighting the candle and while the wax is cool and in a solid state, typically between a 1/8th of an inch to a 1/4 of an inch is acceptable.  Please remove trimmings from the wax before lighting your candle.

 

How can I get free shipping? 

Everything is expensive these days, we all would like to save some money!  Members of the Cap + Queen monthly club receiving free shipping with their orders, a little peace of mind in having what you need delivered straight to your door while saving some money.  We are able to offer this to our club members due to the insight it provides us to not over produce products, helping us drive some cost down for you by being a loyal customer.

What currency are the prices displayed in on the site?

All prices are in USD.

 

I just placed an order. When will it ship?

We strive to ship items as fast as possible. Our stock levels are accurate and constantly updated. Please allow 2 full business days for your order to be processed and shipped out for in-stock items. The average shipping times are 3-5 days for the continental USA depending on what type of shipping you choose. Tracking numbers will be updated shortly before your order has been SHIPPED. If you don't receive a tracking number within 5 business days, please email us at support@capandqueen.com.

 

Do you ship to Canada/internationally? 

Yes!  We are currently shipping to Canada with other countries possibly coming available later in the year.  Please note, international orders may incur additional duties or taxes in your country which are not included in your check out or paid by Cap & Queen.  Please understand your countries import fee’s before making any purchases.


I am not satisfied with my order. Can it be returned? What if there is an issue?

We offer a 100% money-back guarantee for 14 days from the date of shipping if the product is damaged, or unused. To initiate a manufacture defective return, or you simply are not a fan of the scent please send us a email at support@capandqueen.com and any photo evidence you are able to supply.  We will provide you with a shipping address and a return number. Once we receive and inspect the product(s), we will refund the full amount of your original purchase price. Please include your name and order number on the outside of the returned package and also include this information on a sheet inside the box.  

 

What if I wish to change products in my monthly bundle, update my payment method, pause my bundle or cancel my subscription?

Modifying your subscription is easy: log in to your account at CapandQueen.com and click on my account, from this page you will see a manage subscription box.  This will redirect you to the subscription page where you can edit your subscription, pause or cancel at anytime.
